After a day or two the cut capillaries begin to bud, forming new blood vessels, cells grow around these new vessels, forming little red granulations, and that is how the wound fills up and grows together again. The same process takes lace in a clean cut or in an ulcerated wound.
It is only a matter of degree and extent. when a clean cut wound heals quickly without much reaction or infectection, it is called "healing by first intention". but whwn an injury is followed by infection or ulceration it heals by "second intention" so to speak
