Buboes

Buboes are infected lymph glands. mostly in the groin. It may be a venereal disease complication in chancroid, gonorrhea and syphilis, but it may also be tubercular or the result of any other infection. If of venereal or streptococcic origin , the cure is prompt treatment with large doses of penicillin by hypodermic injection. But the infected gland, when softened , should be incised and drained at the same time
